Well, we are finally going to get a chance to take our "Honeymoon".
We are going to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, for the weekend. Friday is qualifying, and we are taking Jennifer, and Loretta's nephew Doug. Jennifer wants to see a race, so we will take her to at least some type of racing. She has NO idea she will be going with us to the track on Friday night.
Doug is into NASCAR, and wants to see the track in Atlanta also. So we are taking them both, for Friday only!!!
As for the rest of the weekend, it is Loretta's and mine. We have a room booked, and it will give us time to be out of Warner Robins, and away from the stress of everyday life. It's our relax time.
There will be a bunch of pictures from the race posted on Loretta's and my website.
So check back and see what we saw at the Atlanta Motor Speedway!!!
Who knows we may come back with autographs too...

Honeymoon!!!
Finally, we are going to go on our Honeymoon.
It's something we both want to do.
We are going racin' at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, it may not sound like much to some but it is something we like to do together. We have a room outside the track so no driving back and forth, and we are gonna spend some time away from it all.
It should be fun...
Take care...

Multiple Sclerosis walk in Buffalo NY
Here is a short local TV commercial from Buffalo, NY, about MS. My mother lives with this disease, and many more people around the nation does.
Oh by the way my mother in the one in the center of the video in the back row, actually my grandmother is there too. She is the one hiding behind the dark haired woman, on the right second row, my sister couldn't make it she had to work. My sister is very involved with the MS walk.
If you would like to know more you can read more about MS here.
Take care...

New Job part 2
Well my training is over, and they finally let me loose on the floor, or so I thought.
The first day of "being let loose" ended up with us not having passwords to get logged into the system. So we had another day of training.
The next day, I was told by my lead person , that he had a job for me. I was like hmmm, what the hell are they gonna do to the "rookie". Well it ended up doing what I do best. I was doing put away. Which means, a truck brought products in, and I got to put them away. Sound like fun?
It was for me, thats where I defiantly know what I'm doing. The person that showed me the right way to do it, said I did a good job, so that sounds good.
Well, today they put me back on case picking, which is picking the orders that the customers requested. Which is no big thing, except learning the way their system works.
I'm getting it. It wont take long until, I will hitting above the 100% mark.
Thats the latest, keep checking the website, and my blog.
Then you are in the know...
As if anyone reads these anyways.
Take care...

The New Job
Well this week was my first week at TLC/Sara Lee. The cooler is constantly held at 30 degrees, which ain't too bad. The freezer is a whole different story, it is a constant -20 degrees.
Yes, that is negative 20 degrees.
They issue us cold weather gear, which helps, but damn it is cold. There are NO warm up breaks. We are either pulling orders from the cooler, or the freezer.
Damn, we dread going into the freezer, but it is part of the job, so off we go bundling all up and hoping we have a bunch of small tickets to pull. So we can get the hell, into the 30 degree part. I know it sounds funny, but you can defiantly tell the difference.
There are three of us in training for the next two weeks, and I'm going to try and learn all the tricks that I can. The bad thing about being in training with three people, is that we all have the same trainer. So each one of us "gets" a turn, to pick orders, and ask any questions. But, the problem is, while one has their turn the others stand there and try to lean too. So imagine standing in one place in, remember -20 degree weather, while this dude is learning, the ropes.
That concrete is freakin' COLD, when your standing still, but we try to pace and keep our feet moving but that don't work too well either.
Then the fans start to blow, ya better have your gloves, mittens, and all zipped up. It don't take a minute for your fingers, and any exposed skin to start getting numb.
Well, that is the excitement of my first week. Lets see what next Sunday brings me, actually that is my long week, so it should be interesting.
As things progress, as usual you can read it here...
Take care...

More New Job News
Well I'm in training a this week, I don't know when I will actually start working on the floor.
Tomorrow we have more training, to see if we know what we are doing on the fork lifts that they have. There should be no problems at all, even though the forklift manufacturer is different, but they all use the same principal. So I should ACE this basic skills test. You just have to use the other half of your brain to steer them. Oh hell!!!! I maybe in trouble now. Yeah right!!!
Our instructor advised us to take vitamin C to keep our immune systems in check seeing it is so damn cold in the freezer. He also said if ya get sick, keep on top of it, so you don't get any sicker. He should knows what he is talking about, he has been there before the building was completed.
Well thats the latest on how the new job is going, as I get more acclimated to the -20 degree frozen storage area, I'll keep ya posted.
See ya...

New Job
Well, as of today I had a second interview with a large company in Middle GA.
They asked me to do a hair follicle test, a test for drugs.
I know I will pass that, because I do not do illegal drugs.
Anyone that really knows me, knows I don't do them.
Hell, I'm lucky if I take an aspirin.
But, I do like my beer, if that is a fault, then we are all at fault.
You know who you are.
