Another Grandchild?!?!?

In case you didnt know, I already have one grandchild, from my first son, his daughters name is Pandora.

Today I found out that my oldest child, a girl, ooops a woman, is going to have a child now also she is due December 22, 2007.

Granted, these children that "were mine", I havent had much contact with them, and that I do apologize for, it maybe a bit too late.

Hopefully my youngest son wont shock his mom, or me and end up getting some "lucky" girl in a situation.

They are always in my thoughts, no matter what!

I am trying to make and keep contact with them, also they are keeping in contact with me, some more than others.

This is a step in the right direction to try and make contact with them, and let them know that I do care about them no matter what, if they prefer not to have contact with me that is their choice, and I respect that.

I do love my kids, even though they all no longer carry my last name.

Tyrone Update 7/1/07

Another update on Tyrone, from Jackie

The Dr told us today that Tyrone is showing signs of improvement and hopefully if he continues to improve they'll be able to lighten his heavy sedatives and take him off of the respirator soon.

He said that he does have pnemococal bacterial meningitus- that it looks like the same bacteria as before and that once you get it, you are more apt to get it again- especially if you get a sinus or respiratory infection- which tyrone gets very frequently- also that he might have a crack or hole in his sinus cavity from his previous nose surgery that lets the bacteria into his brain cells or spinal fluid regions.

He said that he is not contagious- we dont have to wear the gloves and masks as we did before- I dont know if that means he was never contagious or not now. He'll remain in ICU as long as he is on the breathing machine ..

Hope he'll be breathing on his own soon without going crazy actin again.

Tyrone Duckworth Update 6/30/07

Jackie sent us this email, to let us know how Tyrone was doing...

thanks mark and loretta- right now he is in isolation in icu and they only let in 2 family members at a time and we have to wear masks and gloves-(i guess so we cant blame them if we get it) ..

I'm hoping we caught it sooner this time and that he will recover sooner without getting pnemonia.

He had nose surgery several years ago cause he has always had sinus trouble and now the dr. thinks that he has a hole or crack in the thin layer that separates his sinus cavity from his brain and that when he got a sinus infection- the bacteria from that got through to his brain & /or spinal fluid.

I just cant believe he is having to go through this again- Once in a life time was enough for anybody to endure.

I'll keep yall posted on when he gets to a regular room and not isolated.

Already got lots more stories to tell of how he took on about 10 strong emts-while laying on the gurney and then today when he started to come to after getting an mri before they could get him back to the room- and me holding my breath,- saying "he's wakin up -- need tranquiler gun quick!!"

As Jackie keeps us updated, I will post it here...
